Wildlife Forensics & Seizure Training
This project is led by TRAFFIC International working in partnership with TRACE to develop capacity for the sampling and DNA analysis of wildlife seizures. Focusing on three countries in Africa (Gabon, Kenya and Tanzania) and three countries in Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam), the work will involve training in wildlife law enforcement and forensic science, with a focus on the illegal trade in elephant ivory, rhinoceros horn and pangolin products. The project runs until 2019 and is funded by the US Department of State (INL).
